Europe (satellite)

It is the smallest of the four main satellites of Jupiter, also called Galileans because they were discovered by the great Italian scientist in 1610, immediately after having invented the telescope.

It is in orbit at an average distance of 671,000 km from the planet, with a period of 3.5 days; It has a diameter of 3,125 km, a mass of approximately 2/3 with respect to that of the Moon and a density three times that of water. It was first explored in 1979 by Voyager 1, and features an icy crust with a network of obvious grooves.
